LAND ROVER FLOORS CASTLE HORSE TRIALS

Friday 11th May - Sunday 13th May 2018

The Land Rover Floors Castle Horse Trials is run over the glorious parkland in front of Floors Castle in the Scottish Borders. The event has been running for over 25 years and has established itself as a firm favourite among riders, owners and spectators. The 2017 horse trials were a runaway success. Over the course of the four days, we welcomed over 1,000 horses and their riders  – which is an astounding number and represents a record entry!

Floors is quickly becoming one of Scotland’s leading equestrian events and the Organisers would like to thank all volunteers, sponsors and supporters who all played a vital role in some way or another. Although the fences have been packed away and cattle are back in the park, we do not stop working as we move ahead to make plans for next year.

Visitors to Land Rover Floors Castle Horse Trials will not only be treated to an array of equestrian spectacles, with dressage, showjumping and cross country all running simultaneously throughout the day, but they can also enjoy a walk around the cross country course, which spans from the Golden Gates in Kelso down to the Tweed and along to the parkland just south of the Adventure Playground and Walled Garden.

Over the years the number of tradestands has grown and grown and we are delighted to work with a large number of retailers offering an interesting shopping experience. Delicious catering will be on hand with something for all from crepes to pizzas. For a dine-in lunch, why not visit the Terrace or Courtyard Cafes next to the Castle.

Young eventing fans might also enjoy a careful walk round the lorry park with their autograph book, as top riders such as former Olympic riders Oliver Townend and Nicola Wilson, the ever popular Ben Hobday are regular competitors at the event.
