Happy Sunday everyone!
We hope your weekend was restful or filled with exciting adventures, setting you up perfectly for the week ahead.
Let's pause for a moment, immersing ourselves in the tranquility of Sunday together. Sundays for us are a time to slow down, to relax, often leading us down memory lane.
We know we may have mentioned once or twice already that we are celebrating our 30th anniversary! Today we've taken a moment to reflect on what this milestone truly means to us and share our thoughts with you.
Stepping back 30 years, Hiho began in 1994 in a flat at Forde Abbey in Somerset. Lots has happened over the last 30 years but one thing we do know is the legacy we have is certainly a Somerset one! We've remained faithful to our roots, with Hiho HQ staying put in Somerset for the past 30 years. With both our King of the Road, Andrew's family and our MD, Emma's family calling Somerset home, so there really couldn’t be a more suitable place for Hiho to call home!
That being said, Hiho has travelled lots and continues to do so. Our passion leads us to many beloved equestrian and countryside shows each year and we are always seeking new exciting places to showcase Hiho. Our love for the show circuit runs deep, and over three decades, has fostered countless friendships with brands and customers alike - in fields and on the occasional dance floor :)
The shows are an integral part of Hiho’s legacy, with recent years seeing us become sponsors of many events as well as being The Official Jeweller of Badminton Horse Trials.
Each year at Badminton, we love 'The Hiho Best Dressed' competition, an exciting event taking place during the First Horse Inspection. This event is so much fun and we love sponsoring and picking our most favourite outfits, we always aim for practical elegance (perfectly Hiho!).
Over the years, our growth has allowed us to sponsor devoted riders - one of the longest being the talented Emily King. Recently, we've embarked on a new venture, partnering with Cherhill Shetlands. It brings us immense joy to watch these wonderful Shetlands shine bright in the limelight of various shows, especially the famous Shetland Pony Grand National.
Our first website was launched in 2009 and over the years, we have been privileged to meet many of you online. Our social community is very special to us - on and offline, we love to hear what you’ve been up to. Michelle, our Countess of Contentment and Amanda, our Duchess of Sterling are kept very busy wrapping and shipping your orders - thank you!
As we continue to develop and grow, not only can this be seen in our various show and sponsorship ventures but in our products too. Over the past three decades, we've created countless unique Hiho pieces but our most famous is certainly our Exclusive Cherry Roller Collection.
The Cherry Roller Collection is a true reflection of Hiho's identity. We cherish this collection for its versatility and elegance, truly embodying our belief that our jewellery takes you from ‘mucking out to going out”. Its unique feature of interchangeable roller beads and its equestrian-inspired sophistication have earned it a special place in our hearts. As we look back on our remarkable journey over the past 30 years, we take pride in the Hiho legacy that this collection represents.
Alongside the Cherry Roller, Hiho have also collaborated with many charities and brands to bring you inspired, meaningful pieces. Hiho have created pieces for Willberry Wonder Pony, Help For Heroes, World Horse Welfare and RABI, raising a total of over £39,000 across the charities. For our brand friends we have created pieces for Thelwell, Fairfax and Favor and most recently Chatham and World Secrets - with even more in the pipeline…
Our brand friends and charities are another large part of our Hiho Legacy, many have been made on the show circuit and others through our shared values and beliefs. They will always be a large part of the Hiho community and we can’t wait to add more to the family over time.
