On our way to Blenheim Palace

This week sees us trotting off from sunny Somerset to the not-too-distant Blenheim International Horse Trials! Recently, we’ve enjoyed the Dublin Horse Show and Blair Horse Trials, so a few events in the home country feel right on our doorstep! 

Year after year, Blenheim becomes a highlight on our calendar. Although it's a bit smaller than our beloved 5* events, it doesn't skimp on the grandeur with its magnificent stately setting, elite eventing,  and plenty to see, do and enjoy! If you are joining us at Blenheim this year you will be treated to four days of fantastic competition, including FEI Eventing CCI4*-L & CCI4*-S, ROR Dressage & Showing and The BPIHT Pony Club Team Eventer Challenge.   

Blenheim has more than just entertainment! Witness the magic of Blenheim's Rider Chat Stage, where you join the unparalleled trio - Jonty Evans, Alanna Clarke, and Flo Carter, as they engage in stimulating conversations of all things horsey with an exciting lineup of guests.  Topics range from nutrition to confidence, and even becoming an influencer. Each day wraps up with the Stage playing host to the leaders of the FEI 4* sections, who will share their competition journey and indulge in insightful Q&A sessions.

If the horses aren’t enough of a draw (or maybe the family or partner need a little more convincing) there is plenty to entertain. Blenheim presents to you their Blenheim Arena which across the four days welcomes an action packed schedule with some fast paced dog agility, fabulous falconry, hound parades from the Heythrop Hunt and of course the famous Shetland Pony Grand National! 

Entertainment aside there is over 200 exhibitors to provide a healthy amount of retail therapy… one of our favourite forms of entertainment! Come and say hi to us on Stand A1145… and definitely go and see some of our fabulous brand friends who are also exhibiting! We're aware that no event is complete without a scrumptious lunch. Gone are the days of your burger van lunches as Blenheim introduce their new and improved ‘Food Walk’ for 2024. The Food Walk will offer an array of local, small producers offering their ‘delectable foodstuffs, encompassing speciality cheeses, pickles, chutneys, bread, cakes, game, venison, craft beers, ciders, gin and other spirits’. Sounds pretty yummy if you ask us! 

And if a picnic is more up your street (but you don’t really fancy packing and carrying your own) why not treat yourself to another new 2024 addition to the BPIHT - The Fortnum and Mason Hamper service!
The Hampers include a starter, main, accompanying salads, pudding, cheese plate and bottle of wine all served inside a Fortnum & Masons’ Cool Bag. Choose between the Picnic Menu, The Garden Picnic Menu or go all out and indulge in The Fortnum’s Feast! What a beautifully British lunch to enjoy in the grounds of a quintessentially British stately home!
