#hiholoves... Meg Conway

Who's ready for another #hiholoves? This week, we would love to introduce you to Meg Conway :)

Tell us a bit about you, who you are, where you live, what you do etc?

So my name is Meg, and I have lived in Devon surrounded by beautiful moorland and stunning beaches all my life. I love taking “through the ears” shots whilst out riding, which has almost become my trademark style!  I work for the NHS scanning patients using a radioactive medicine to help located and identify cancers. It’s a challenging job due to long hours, but is also incredible rewarding.

What do I do in my free time?

When I’m not working my free time is spent with my gorgeous paint horse and my two dogs. I was very lucky to find my horse of a lifetime in 2016 after riding for other people for many years. Together Tony and I have grown and learnt so much! We compete across all disciplines and he totally encompasses the phrase all-rounder. There is nothing he can’t do, including being a bit of a model and channelling his inner blue steel! I have recently picked up my camera again and have been enjoying shooting portraits of my friend’s horses and dogs!

Who did you pick to be your brand love partner and why?

I chose The Alchemist Garden as my brand love partner. The company was born out of a desire to develop natural products for horses. Drawing on ingredients from nature that are kind to both the horse’s skin and the environment. As a company they’re on a mission to create totally plastic free products and use sugar cane bottles in place of non-biodegradable plastics!

What’s not to love about that! Not to mention they’re products smell incredible, a particular fave of mine being the bubble gum shampoo!

Who did you pick as your life loves and why?

My life loves are my parents, they support me in everything no matter what and are always ringside cheering me on, horse holding, trailer dragging, and photo taking. I also have a great network of friends some I have known my whole life and others I have met through the power of social media. They’re all always so supportive and I know I can go to them for advice and guidance.

One piece of advice about posting on social media

For me I would say finding your own personal style is a must. Whether is a specific filter or way of editing your photos make it consistent so your photos can be easily recognised and people know it’s you posting just by looking at the image.

And always be kind on social media, and in life, support each other and be a cheerleader to those around you.

Lastly I want to say a huge thank you to Hiho, Emma, Rachel and everyone else involved. It has been a huge honour to be part of the Hiho Loves and since attending my first Hiho & Co event last year everyone has been so kind and supportive. If you’re thinking of attending, do it! Trust me you will not regret it!
