All about Mathilda

Welcome to another one of our All About.... our amazing community posts! Today, we are all about Mathilda, so we caught up with her and managed to ask her a couple questions! If you would love to learn a little more about Mathilda, then keep on reading!

Mathilda, tell us a bit about yourself - what do you do, where are you from, what you're up to online - what makes you tick! 

I’m originally from Poole in Dorset! I moved around a lot when I was little as my dad was a Royal Marine! But now I live up in Angus in Scotland! Which I love, it’s beautiful up here!
At the moment I’m working for the Scottish SPCA as an Animal Rescue Officer, such a rewarding job!
I love supporting brands like this, especially equine related! I hadn’t intended on becoming a “brand ambassador” EVER, it seemed to happen overnight! I just post things that I love - my animals mostly! - and that seems to work for me! My animals are my passion whether it be the Horse, Ducks or Dogs!

What do you do in your spare time & what you get up to offline? 

In my spare time I usually am out an about with my animals. I have an Irish sports horse called Maisie she always keeps me busy! I’m probably at my happiest when I’m having a gallop through a field on her! Definitely best way to clear your head! If I’m not with Maisie then I am probably sorting out my ducks and chickens! And if I’m not with them then I am probably out with my Springer Ollie and my boyfriend and his 9 dogs! I absolutely love the outdoors but if I’m not outside you can probably find me in the gym!

What is your ultimate HihoLove (favourite piece from Hiho!) and why? 

My favourite piece from Hiho is the Gold Cherry Roller Snaffle necklace! My sister got me one as a gift for my 21st and I’ve been wearing it every day since, it’s now my lucky charm I suppose!

And finally... What is the best piece of content-creation advice you have received? 

One piece of advice I’ve heard is honestly just be yourself, don’t pretend to be someone you’re not! Post things you love and that mean a lot to you! People post content of them pretending to be happy, but if you’re posting about things you love, you don’t have to pretend, that’s the key!
