All About Anna

Meet Anna, the little pink Fordson star, dazzling crowds at shows and different events around the country while raising funds for Dementia UK, a charity close to her heart.

Curious about her journey? Read more below.

Anna, please can you tell us a bit about yourself, where you are from and what do you do?

Hi, I have grown up in the countryside in Northamptonshire, where I have grown up with what feels like a mini zoo from horses to chickens. The first vehicle I drove was a tractor at a young age, so it’s always been tractors and then land rovers! I work at Kimbolton Vets when I’m not going around shows and fundraising.

Now, for those of you who don't know Anna, she has the most beautiful pink Fordson tractor. Can you tell us where this came from and how you lovingly restored it?

This was saved from scrap and was a complete rust bucket when I purchased it, for sure paid way more than anyone should have for the state of it, but I wanted a Fordson so here we go! I then tried to restore what I could to keep it as original as possible, then would buy new parts as I needed them. After it was all restored and looking more like a tractor than a demolition derby contestant, I thought I have always wanted a pink tractor so let’s get someone to do this! I had a very talented local man do the paint work and he couldn’t believe I wanted these two colours rather than the original colours of blue and orange! But to be fair I have kept the seat cover the same with blue and orange.

Where did your love of tractors come from?

Being brought up in the countryside, I have always been around tractors. Attending farming college rekindled my desire to own one again!

Now, there is a very big reason the tractor is pink. Can you tell everyone the story behind this?

I wanted to fundraise for a charity very close to my heart. I sadly lost my grandad and my nana more recently to dementia, so it has made me so determined to fundraise as much as I can and raise much more awareness for a disease that is sadly affecting more and more families. I want people to know that there is a charity that is there not only for the person affected but also the family. The Admiral Nurses are incredible, and I urge everyone when they have a chance to check out Dementia UK website as it has so much information on it. It would be great that one day there is a cure for this horrible disease. I have now raised over £11.5k for Dementia UK from attending lots of shows, road runs, auctions and all different events.

Where can we follow you online and how can anyone support you and your fundraising if they wish too?

I have an Instagram page called @little_pink_fordson, a Facebook page called little pink fordson and I’ve now set up a TikTok account but that is way above my capabilities, but it’s called pink fordson. I also have a just giving page link on my Instagram, but you can also find it under pink fordson.

What is your ultimate Hiho love (favourite piece from the Hiho collection) and why?

I love my horseshoe rings that you guys have. Whenever I'm anxious out on a tractor, you can always find me twirling them and also my beautiful necklace with a horseshoe and heart on it.

Can we see your pink tractor anywhere, at any shows or events?

We will be showing at lots of different places, one of my favourites is Marston Steam Show on 16-17th August, then we have the Blakesley Show on 2nd August, Kettering Vintage rally and lots, lots more.

I do weekly posts on my pages which shows where we are at so check it out if you want to find me.
