Charity Cycle Challenge for BEST and Rider's Minds

What started as an idea between Andrew and his good friend Henry Kinchin (from 1st Class Images) back in 2025, has grown into something rather extraordinary. 

When Andrew came into Hiho HQ in January 2026 with the plan, it was clear this wasn't going to be just a bike ride, he was determined to do something incredible (and maybe a little crazy!) to raise some vital funds for two charities very close to the eventing communitie's heart's. 

Since then, the challenge has only gathered in momentum, with Tom March, Alistair Wilson and Abbie joining the team.

But a challenge like this doesn't happen overnight, covering 600km in three days - straight after helping all our lovely customers on the stand at Scone Palace International Horse Trials- ready to do it all again immediately after at Burghley, is no mean feat!

Since the beginning of the year, Andrew has been diligently clocking up miles of training, beginning with winters in the French Alps, where he and Clem spend the quieter months after a busy summer travelling the country with Hiho.  Those mountain roads not only provide spectacular views, but also the perfect training ground for what lies ahead.

As the show season rolled around, the training certainly didn't stop. Long before the stand was open and ready to see you all, Andrew was out on the bike, squeezing in early morning rides wherever he could. From snowy alpine climbs to dawn rides before Badminton, Bramham and beyond, every mile has been building towards this one challenge.

So... to recap.

At the end of August 2026, Andrew and his four teammates will swap four wheels for two, leaving Scone Palace International Horse Trials on Sunday the 30th of August, undertaking an incredible 600km journey, ready to arrive at Burghley Horse Trials on Wednesday the 3rd of September in time for the First Horse Inspection! All in aid of The BE Support Trust (BEST) and Riders Minds.

Three days. Five Riders. One unforgettable challenge.
