About the Hiho team

Established in 1994,  Hiho Silver has been crafting a wide variety of artisanal jewellery designed to take you ‘from mucking out, to going out’. Based in the scenic Blackdown Hills of Somerset, these exquisite pieces are eclectically inspired by the beauty of the Countryside and the rich Equestrian culture which resides there.

Our pieces are made to be loved, made to be lived in and made to make you feel like the best version of yourself. We pride ourselves on authenticity, each piece is designed by us and can be found here on our website, at a variety of stockists and at many events up and down the country each year - don’t be afraid to come and say hello!

Hiho is led by Andrew & Emma, with the aim of creating beautiful yet robust pieces to be worn day in, day out no matter the task at hand with the peace of mind that it will still be shining for years to come! While we may be a small team, we are mighty in our commitment to service, our commitment to quality and our commitment to the community we have built over the years.

Whether you are treating a loved one or yourself, we are certain we have something perfect within our range to suit any occasion.

I was a Hiho customer well before I became a member of the team and I loved the whole experience of shopping with Hiho – a purple box present was always sure to delight! I joined Hiho a few years ago now and can honestly say that it’s the best job I‘ve ever done. Hiho people are really special, and that goes for employees and customers alike. My main responsibilities are to make sure that we’re always delighting you and to make sure that the team has what they need to do that. Now for the important stuff… I love my family, pets, cooking and being in the country…and of course, Hiho! Pet hates: gory television programmes Special skill: picking up spiders when the Countess of Contentment finds them in her drawers ;-)

I am really a farmer at heart and absolutely love the countryside with a passion, which is why working on the Shows suits me down to the ground - as I spend most of my time in a field - usually with a couple of sleepy dogs in tow, lazing around on the stand! I have an absolute passion for salted peanuts and can fall asleep anywhere, which has often resulted in a few extra eyebrows being drawn onto me by well-meaning friends...

Having been with the company for quite a few years now, I tend to be an all rounder and have various roles such as buying the beautiful stock that you see, keeping the website up and running and most importantly making sure that you are all happy and content with the products and the services that we provide you. Originally from Devon, but I crossed the border to Somerset and live with my wonderful husband Adam. I love relaxing with a great book and a glass of cider and long walks across the Countryside or by the coast.

I control the purse strings and make sure all the suppliers are happy and the bills are paid on time. Born in Somerset I currently live in the beautiful countryside and have a cat called Maisy, a dog called Nellie and a tortoise called Sidney. I love going to the Cinema, eating out and going to the theatre. I am a big Dolly Parton fan and try to see her when she pops over to the UK.

My main job is to make sure everyone in the office knows who’s boss – me! I’m here for love, attention, and as many cuddles as possible. When I’m not supervising from someone’s desk (or stealing their chair), I’m off exploring the farm on my latest adventure. I love it when guests visit – more cuddles for me and a bit of fluff for them! By 4pm, I’m back at my post waiting for the postie, who always brings treats and belly rubs. What a life, hey?

Married to Andrew since more or less the start of Hiho, our family have grown up doing the shows.. from mislaying Fred on his fourth birthday at Burghley to managing the boys’ ring-wand battles to them actually being very useful building the stands and serving customers . I have dipped in and out of the shows, while managing home life especially the ponies and horses when the boys were competing at pony club level. The boys have retired from Hiho now, spreading their wings to London and North Yorkshire and this has meant that I’m back working alongside The King of The Road.. dodging his wild dance moves and his even dodgier cooking! I have to say since I’ve rejoined the shows team, the lorry is a lot cleaner and the diet a lot healthier! My foray into modern kitchen equipment came when I bought an air fryer as it said I could bake sourdough bread in it. Turns out it’s true plus it’s great at speed-cooking sausages for the team.

Marquise of Marketing
I am a marketer with an unwavering passion for all things creative and a good pinch of data and analytics. At Hiho, I manage the full spectrum of marketing activities, including all show POS. In my downtime, you’ll find me embracing a simple, seasonal lifestyle —think countryside walks, cold-water swims, and the joy of home baking.

I am a Hiho fan through long before I began working for them in 2024. I grew up with my Mum wearing Hiho jewellery and quickly followed in her footsteps with my Dad purchasing my first piece, the Sterling Silver Stirrup Pendant, from Andrew at Gatcombe many moons ago. Every birthday and Christmas that followed always came with a wish list largely made up of either Hiho pieces or a pony - you can imagine which option my parents chose! I joined Hiho in the summer of 2024 as part of my university placement, having graduated from the RAU in May 2025, I re-joined the team in the autumn as a full-time member of the team - woohoo! I absolutely love working for Hiho, not just because I am surrounded by beautiful jewellery all day, but because I get to be part of the wonderful Hiho community at both Hiho HQ and shows! Outside of work you can usually find me at the stables snuggling my horse, Fern, or walking the beautiful Somerset countryside with my lab, Wills.
