From Mucking Out to Going OutThe 2026 Cheltenham Festival is a highlight in any horse racing fans calendar, and it's just around the corner.

So, we thought we would share with you some of our top Hiho styling tips to make sure your outfit is accessorised perfectly for the day.

Tip 1: Dress for the Elements

When selecting your jewellery for the day, consider choosing jewellery that will layer beautifully with coats and scarves. The weather at Cheltenham can be wonderfully unpredictable, with several seasons appearing in a day, so make sure your jewellery works effortlessly no matter how many layers you wear.

Tip 2: Make a statement

Jewellery is the perfect way to make a subtle statement, you can show your love and your passions through simple nods of silver. Choose a singular chunky piece on your wrist to make a bold statement, or layer several smaller pieces to make a more delicate statement. A wrist stack is a fantastic way to do this.

Tip 3: Understated is ok too

Bold statements aren’t everyone’s style, and that is completely OK.
For some, beauty lies in the finer details; something slender, delicate, and effortlessly understated. This is where our Two Tone Bangles are absolutely perfect, with their delicate two-tone accents they still add the perfect finishing without feeling too bold.

Tip 4: Include Timeless Textures

Racing is an age-old timeless hobby that has been enjoyed by generations for many years. So, at an event like Cheltenham, steeped in so much heritage, it's nice to reflect this heritage through the jewellery you choose. Pearls are a fantastic way to do this, they offset beautifully when paired with traditional tweeds and add the perfect heritage accent to an outfit.

Tip 5: Consider Your Outfit Tones

Tones in an outfit can mean a lot when picking your jewellery...
If you're planning on wearing dark colours like burgundys, greens and dark blues then silver jewellery is your best choice. Against these dark and rich tones, silver really pops and comes into its own.
If you're planning on wearing more neutral colours, perhaps some cream, tan or beige, then two tone gold and pearls become your best friends.
These pieces will help to elevate your outfit whilst adding subtle balance, warmth, softness and sophistication.

Tip 6: Choose Jewellery that Feels Secure

Days out at Cheltenham Festival can be full on and active ones!
From walking between enclosures, to cheering at the rails, and of course raising a glass with friends you need to that know your jewellery will not be joining the horses for a gallop on the track!
We recommend choosing pieces like Hiho with secure and reliable clasps,
so you can fasten with confidence and trust that they will still be there
no matter where the day takes you...
If you're planning on adorning your fingers with some beautiful rings, make sure they fit correctly. Remember that cooler March temperatures can affect how your jewellery fits and sits on your hands, so a well-fitting ring that does not require constant adjustment will give you piece of mind and leave you free to enjoy every moment uninterrupted.

Tip 7: Styling Statement Clothing

Wearing statement cuff or collar clothing is a beautiful way to add some bold elegance to your Cheltenham outfit, but it may leave you scratching your head as to what jewellery to pair with it. In this case, a less is more approach is best. Instead of wearing jewellery where there is already a statement, focus on the areas that don't have anything drawing the eye to them and use your jewellery to do this.
For example, if you're wearing a frilly collar then focus on the wrists, fingers and ears. If you're wearing a detailed cuff then focus on adorning your neck, ears and fingers.
