What A Week!

What a week we've had at Hiho!

Let's get you up to speed...

Andrew's Epic Cycle

Remember the epic cycling challenge our King of the Road and three of his pals were undertaking for the BE Support Trust and Rider's Minds?

Well, they only went and smashed it!

On Wednesday the 2nd of September four very tired but very proud chaps cycled into Burghley Horse Trials having covered 600km in three days, on two wheels.
It was three gruelling 11hour days of cycling, questionable amounts of karaoke, and a strong demonstration of friendship and love for the equestrian community.

We're so proud of them all, and thrilled to say so far they have raised over £21,000 for these two vital charities.

Thank you so much to all who have donated. The page is still open for anyone still wishing to support this amazing challenge, you can find it here.

We're sending everyone one big thank you from all at Team Hiho, Andrew, Henry Alistair, Tom, the BE Support Trust and Rider's Minds

🚲💜

World Charity Day

Through wonderful coincidence, after an incredible week raising money for two very special charities, we also learnt that yesterday (Saturday the 5th of September) is in fact World Charity Day!

Over on our socials we took a moment to celebrate all the charities we work with here at Hiho including:

Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony: Created in the memory of the inspiring Hannah Francis, this charity is dedicated to supporting those in the equestrian community affected by cancer through the funding of life saving cancer research and granting of Willberry's Wishes to those who need them most. We were honoured to be asked to help support Hannah's mission in silver form, and have since created quite the Willbery Wonder Pony Collection in collaboration with Hannah's family. If you would like to learn more about Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony click here.

The Georgie Campbell Foundation: Following the heart-breaking loss of 5* eventer Georgie Campbell in May "24, her family set up this special foundation to honour her legacy and love for horse riding. This charity now helps aspiring young event riders “fulfil their dreams” by providing support in establishing their own eventing businesses. With such strong connections to the evening community we've joined hands with Georgie's family to create a collection inspired by Georgie's beloved terrier, Twig. You can learn more about the foundation here

World Horse Welfare: World Horse Welfare: One of the world's leading equine charities, works to inspire everyone to put the horse at the centre of how we all think, care and act. Working with horses, owners, communities, organisations and governments, they improve welfare standards and create a better future for every horse in the UK and worldwide. We're thrilled to be supporting them via our Exclusive WHW Stud Earrings, a very special way to show your love for horses, and support their welfare too. Find out more about their work here.

Help For Heroes: A charity dedicated to supporting the members of our Armed Forces and their families as they make the transition into civilian life. Help for heroes offer a range of support from physical to mental health, through to welfare and social needs. Since they began in 2007, this charity has helped to support over 25,000 live well after service. Learn more about their work here.

You too can show and wear your support for these brilliant organisations through our Charity Collection

Brilliant Burghley

The latter half of our week is concluding with our penultimate event of the year - Burghley Horse Trials. We've just got today left - do come and see us if you're here for a spot of showjumping! You can find us along Avenue A West, just down from the Country Living Tent!

It's been a fantastic few days so far.

Of course it all began with welcoming in the incredible Scone - Burghley Cycle Team on Wednesday afternoon, from which we headed straight to the First Horse Inspection and helped our friends from Fairfax and Favor judge the Best Dressed.

On Friday we were honoured to chat with Peter Rowbottom, World Horse Welfare's Director of Fundraising - this year World Horse Welfare were Burghley's Official Charity of the Year, so it was lovely to catch up with Peter, celebrate our long-standing support for the charity and hear all about their exciting plans for the future. Come the afternoon we hosted a Meet Up with our friends at Optimum Time Eventing on our stand- thank you so much to all who came!

Saturday was busy busy on the stand, and today we find ourselves on the final day.

And through it all, we've been showcasing our amazing new arrivals, and saying one big summer show season thank you with our giveaway. Which you can enter here.

What an event!

Our show's team (especially Andrew!) will be taking a well earned rest next week, ready to return full of energy for our final event of the season - Blenheim International Horse Trials, taking place from the 17th - 20th of September. You can find us on Stand A043.

We can't wait to see you there,

Team Hiho xx
