Tell us a bit about your business/blog/what you do
I am the writer behind the equestrian lifestyle blog, The Forelock Journal, a place for all things horsey.
Why did you decide to come to Style, Skills & Silver?
I saw a huge opportunity to meet and learn from some fantastic people; both in the organisers and speakers at the event and also in meeting the other people who were attending.
What did you enjoy the most?
Oh gosh, what a question to ask! There's sooo many things I could list, but when I think about what I enjoyed the most, I would say meeting everyone and listening to their fascinating stories, listening to people talk about what they’re most passionate about in the workshops, I felt really inspired by everyone I met on the day.
Have you/are you planning to use any of the skills you learnt there?
Yes I have started using a few of the skills already! The flay lay skills were the first to be tried out when I got back and I've really enjoyed trying to create some flat lays and put into practise what we learnt. I may or may not have also brought a few new fashion items to put into my wardrobe - the style team were just fab. I have also started to think about how I can make the most of my content by repurposing it - thank you Rhea!
Thinking of style, what are your most loved products – what will we always see you in when you’re out and above?
I pretty much always wear my tan deck shoes, I love them. They’re comfy and go with literally everything. I have a Mackenzie and George belt on 99% of the time, they always make me feel a little more put together. Jeans - any type, any colour I live in them, they’re my go to and I think you can make them work for almost any occasion.
Whose style would you like to steal?
I think Harriet does a fab job of making a casual outfit still look classy and put together. But actually I would like to steal a little bit of everyones style from the day (style and skills team included!). Everyone posed confidence and that adds style to every outfit, in my opinion.
In a flatlay of your day to day life, which items would we find in there?!
Hamish, well, you can’t actually get him into a flat lay, so perhaps just one of his horse shoes, a cup of tea, my laptop, lip balm (I have one on me, near me with me at all times), a note pad and a pen.

Now for the serious stuff…
What’s your favourite type of cake?
Classic Victoria sponge, you just can’t beat it!
What’s your favourite event – horse trials or other
I love Badminton. The shopping and the XC course just makes for a perfect day out. It’s also a good time of year, not too hot, not too cold!
