How will the increasing silver price affect you and us?

At Hiho, we have always believed in being open, honest and transparent with you.

So we want to take a moment to explain what's changing and why... 
 

You may have noticed that some of the larger jewellery brands are moving away from solid silver, choosing to use base metals instead to make their jewellery. 

This is because the silver prices have risen by over 120% in recent months, with gold increasing by around 60%.

We have spent a lot of time thinking about what this means for Hiho, and for you. 

We pride ourselves on creating jewellery that is made to live your life with you, from mucking out to going out! 

Pieces that last, hold memories, and are passed down through generations. 

If we followed the trend and moved to silver plating, we simply wouldn't feel confident in our jewellery being able to live that same robust life. 

And that's not a compromise we are willing to make! 

So, we’re choosing to stay true to our values. Which means we are having to apply
a price increase to our products, while keeping Hiho as accessible as we possibly can.

We didn’t want to spring this on you.

So, until next Wednesday you can shop the pieces you have had your eye on at their current price.

We’re also working on new charms and collectibles to help you build your Hiho collection
cost-effectively over time.
