Hartpury International Horse Trials

Wednesday 7th August - Sunday 11th August

Come and find us in the heart of Gloucestershire at one of the county’s best competition venues, Hartpury, from the 7th-11th of August! The second week of August brings with it The NAF Five Star International Hartpury Horse Trials - an event not to be missed!
The Hartpury International Horse Trials are renowned as being a a pre-Burghley run/event for many of our top riders, so its guaranteed to deliver prime action for all you all avid Eventing supporters and spectators with classes including The Burghley Young Event Horse qualifier (Tue) followed by the FEI CCI2*L, CCI3*L and CCI4*S competitions (Wed-Sun).
What to see:

The event technically begins on the Tuesday with the Burghley Young Event Horse Qualifier being held from 9am. Although we will be busy beavering away setting up the stand we highly recommend coming along a day early to be in with the chance of seeing some of the best up and coming event horses our sport has to offer.Do you want to know the best bit? Entry is free!
Wednesday welcomes the beginning of the FEI classes, with all horse inspections taking place in the afternoon. As always, Thursday and Friday play host to the dressage phases for all classes.
Now, Saturday (in our opinion) will be the best day to come! Saturday has it all, the morning begins with the BCO Dressage and the 4* SJ and the afternoon presents all three FEI classes’ XC right up until 19:25pm - now if that’s not an action packed eventing day, what is?!
Sunday is sure to be equally enjoyable with more horse inspections, RoR, 2* and 3* SJ and five different xc classes running throughout the day.
What to Wear:

Despite the event being held in August, we always recommend being prepared for everything the British weather may throw at us!
The sun will hopefully grace us with its warming presence so sun cream, a sunhat and some sunglasses are a must but we suggest popping a rain coat in the back just to be on the safe side!
Comfortable clothes and footwear are also essential - as with any horse trial walking will be a large part of the day, especially if you are planning on getting up close and personal with some of the cross country action on the Saturday and Sunday.
