The Royal Highland Show 

The Royal Highland Show is one of Scotland's most iconic events, showcasing the very best of farming food and rural life. A great day out for everyone of all ages, get up close to the country's top quality livestock, taste exceptional food & drink and experience rural living at its most vibrant.

“The Royal Highland Show is a sight to behold and is one of the last bastions of a proper traditional agricultural show in the UK. Taking up 280 acres next to Edinburgh airport, exhibits range from massive farm machinery, hundreds of different livestock breeds, a wonderful display of heavy horses, show jumping and showing classes and the grand parade of animals in the main arena. There are many and varied displays and workshops showcasing countryside skills and pursuits and of course a myriad of trade stands offering amazing shopping for food, clothes and of course jewellery!”
