Wednesday 19th April - Thursday 20th April 2017

The April Meeting gives you the chance to enjoy two weekday fixtures. Even though the season is beginning to wind down, there is still great action on the track.

The April Meeting is usually blessed by springtime sunshine and the racing highlight on the opening day is the Grade 2 Handicap Chase. The second day of the meeting also gives the mares the opportunity to shine at Cheltenham. Four of the seven races are Mares-only races.

On the Thursday, we have the Champions Willberry Charity Race.

The Bob Champion Cancer Trust with Hannah's Willberry Wonderpony Charity is holding a one off flat charity race which will be the last race on the card on Thursday 20 April. The race will celebrate Hannah's legacy and raise funds to be split evenly between the two charities.

The riders include Tina Cook, Alice Fox-Pitt, Ben Hobday and Nick Skelton along with eight members of the public chosen from over 600 applicants for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride at Cheltenham. Each rider has pledged to raise a minimum of £2,500.

There will also be a three course lunch for 300 guests in a special marquee on the day attended by all the riders and fellow equestrian celebrities. During the lunch there will be opportunities to support the event with raffles and auctions.

You can find all details about the race, lunch, and how to support the riders at www.championswillberry.org.uk
